Our Story
Daniel & Emily Perez are founders and directors of Vástagos a las Naciones. After serving as missionaries among unreached people for more than 5 years and making indigenous disciples, they felt a fervent call to start a missionary cooperative that, beyond training, can serve missionaries in comprehensive care. A crucial area that unfortunately is neglected.
Daniel received his missionary call in 2015, and he prepared at a theological-missionary school in Ensenada (Agua Viva). Since then, he has served in multiple ethnic groups in the country. Emily grew up as the daughter of missionaries in Oaxaca. She has also served in ethnic groups and in other countries. She loves observing cultures and writing books. In 2019, Daniel and Emily got married and decided to dedicate their lives to missionary work. They have a beautiful son named Lukas.
Why Vástagos to the Nations?
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me,
and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing.
John 14:5
Our first calling is to be with Jesus, and to know that our identity is in being a son. Before we can develop any ministry, we cannot forget that the source of life is our Lord and we must always be connected to the Vine. In this way we can be sent to fulfill his plan for all the peoples of the earth. We are Branches called to obey the commandment of the Great Commission. We are here to reconcile the world and connect them to the true vine.
